The chapter explains about the importance of observation through a simple activity...

1. Keen Observation :


Activity of looking at a watch to check the date or the minute had position or mobile gadget draw down to check the signal strength, after the participant has checked it, ask for questions that was not related to the previous instruction.

e.g: For watch, ask for the time or make of the watch
 For mobile you may ask for other important parameter that the participant would not have taken notice.

This explains the importance of keen observation.

2. Acronym

We many a times use short forms or acronyms to remember things for example:


VIBGYOR 
To remember the colours in the rainbow. If we could analyse, VIBGYOR does'nt have any meaning, yet we all have been memorizing it and have been teaching it for decades.

Roy G Biv is a similar acronym for the same.




3. Definite Conscious Association

This technique is employed when you want to remember the names in a particular sequence as it it.

My Very Educated Mother Just Served Us Noodles
A relevant and sequential link of words to remember the line-up of planets.

4. Simple Conscious Association 

If the memory is more important than the sequence:

The concepts are more important than the sequence:
  1. Simple Conscious Association
  2. Observation should be keen
  3. Definite Conscious Association
  4. Acronym
Once we remember the association, it will be easy for us to list out in a sequence that we may deem fit.

5. Jinglet 

The above two methods commonly used are called Jingle or jinglet, this is a form of song or phrase that is set with a tune that helps us to remember things that we ought to remember:
